Guest nato Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Ok - which is the best method of unlocking the SPV - Orange's over-the-air or manually editing the file ? - does anyone know if you unlock it Orange's way, can they reverse the signing without your say so as it is only supposed to be for developer use anyway. (according to Orange's disclaimer on their website!) - mmm just a thought, but I have unlocked it Orange's way and its corrupted the IPSM file structure, after 1 week of being ok!. I previously unlocked the phone editing the file, and the phone was fine!.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Oranges method is certainly the quickest and easiest. Also i wouldn't put down your IPSM problems to Oranges unlock method, it can be a little random at times... As for Oranges disclaimer. It's correct, and of course we should only use this method if we intend to develop on the platform. However i doubt you've have many problems unless you make a point of letting Orange know you used this method. My SPV was already decerted so i haven't actually tried this service. If i ever have to again though i'll certainly give it a blast before messing with Loop tools etc...
