Guest mack_ Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) This fix is for those of us that have flashed many roms, done many wipes and so forth. You can use this if your on Gingerbread or ICS regardless of what ROM you are on . The only requirement is that you have root access but if you don't have root, skip to the second part of the guide. To root your device follow these guides(Thanks to Cyda and Frankish for the Guides,And To Paul and Geno for the rooting tools.): (GINGERBREAD BASEBAND) http://www.modaco.co...nd-i-cant-do/ (ICS BASEBAND) http://www.modaco.co...300-b926hspa11/ You will need to download this app from the play store: https://play.google....terycalibration Once you have downloaded, follow these steps:Connect Your Phone To The ChargerOnce you have started charging the phone, charge to a 100% (this is important for it to work properly)Within the app you have downloaded,Select the Battery Calibrate Option Unplug your phone from the charger.YOUR BATTERY IS NOW CALIBRATED !If for some reason you don't have root or you have no idea what root is, then just keep reading.Since you don't have root ,you can just do it this way:Turn Your Phone on and charge for 8 hoursUnplug your phone from the chargerTurn Your Phone off(completely) and charge it for 1 hourUnplug your phone from the charger Turn on the phone and wait for 2 minutesTurn off the phone again, and charge for 1 hourUnplug the phone from the charger and turn it onYOUR BATTERY IS NOW CALIBRATED ! Guest Nandosl59 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Cool!! I'll try it. Thanks a lot!
Guest droiddruid Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Isn't battery calibration an urban myth?
Guest Dazzozo Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Yes. It is purely a statistical thing and does not reflect your actual battery performance.
Guest e.miron Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Or you can simply wipe battery stats from CWM since that's what all these so called calibrating tools are doing.
Guest JRow Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 To be fair ,it does say improve accuracy in the title rather than improve performance, and it does that. Also it's a much quicker method than booting into cwm to do it.

Guest tcpaulh Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Diane Hackborn debunked all this crap back in January but some people are still trying to make money out of it with magic apps https://plus.google.com/u/0/105051985738280261832/posts/FV3LVtdVxPT
