In terms of spec there is nothing under £200. The nearest would be the Nexus 4 8Gb which if the memory isn't a problem is a better phone but costs £239 unlocked running Jelly Bean.

Nearest could be the razr i, but similarly not under £200 (yet at least)

It's £320 from Tesco's Direct so not exactly in the same ballpark.

There is no device with the same specs for £200 or under, just like the blade from orange, for the price it could not be beaten in the specs/price ratio. ok the blade did not really have any specs lol but, it had for the price a great screen.

Tell me where you can get a device for £200 with:

8mp camerea and full hd video( not the best but works well enough)

1.6Ghz single core Intel Atom cpu (very fast, faster than almost all dual core devices)

400Mhz powervr sgx540 gpu ( plays every single game with ease, although I do find it struggles with nova3 a little)

600x1024 4inch screen (crystal clear with reasonable viewing angles)

If there is another device to that price/spec ratio, then I am getting that too.

The blade had 512mb ram, Adreno 205 gpu, 512 Mb ROM... And as you said, the amazing screen

Seen it for 299 but suspect many prices will be dropping rapidly now Google threw in the Nexus 4 price hand grenade

Being locked to orange is big minus though. Only that and bootloader remain after rooting and getting micro SD working have been conquered.

OSD largely responsible for me not buying anything else since it's release but its drawbacks were too big, now they are reduced it's ever more tempting though N4 is similar game changing phone

Well there are only two draw backs, obviously bootloader being the biggest, and sim lock is not as bad as it sounds as t-mobile and virgin both work so there is choice of three networks, and I expect it will be cracked sooner or later :)

Just look at it like this, root was impossible but we have it.

True and Virgin just got quite a bit more interesting with their new p&go tariffs.

..but now the nexus attracts, so fickle.
