Guest PaulMilbank Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Even though I don't seem to have tons of apps, my internal data partition is almost used up. I see that in /data there is a folder called /dataapp which has apks for a lot of different apps in it. presumably each vodafone operator chooses which ones to enable for their country. Is this folder necessary and also is it taking up my app storage room?
Guest elperroderoke Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 (edited) Is not necessary as far as you don't need any of the apk's inside that folder. Those apk's are listed as System app, but are using space in /data. More of the apk's are games' demos and keyboard languages, but some of them could maybe be usefull and you want to keep it. See the folder's apk or go to /cust/vodafone/gb/xml/APKinstallList (or default, or your country folder) and see the list of the apk's installed, more of the apps can be installed from Marked after. You can move system apks (in /data/dataapp) that you want to keep to /system/app but first you will need more space in /system just erasing the apk that can be installed from market to (Gmail. Streetview, Google+ and so on). Regards. Edited November 6, 2012 by elperroderoke
