My phone reads that:

Total Storage: 7.50mb

Available Storage: 0.20mb

And I keep getting pages coming up saying I need to free some space. I have removed everything (more or less) via Remove Programs but this hasnt changed?!

Any help would be appreciated, seems to be slowing down my phone big time.

Have you switched your phone on and off?

Sometimes it won't actually delete anything until the phone has been rebooted. It stores files in a folder called "FileToBeDeleted".

Might help.

Yes, phone has been turned on and off enough times, including with battery removal. Phone has started to crash a lot more since this problem!

At this point I'd do a hard reset, but you may be better off waiting for one of the more seasoned posters to reply

Can you delete anything in the IPSM/MAPI directory via ActiveSync?? Just seems to be loads of *.mpb files. Dont know what there for?!

Yep, you can safely delete all files inIPSMMAPI folder including the ones in ATTACHMENTS. The files in MAPI are basically files with your email/longSMS text and Drafts or could be Sent Items... So I would suggest you clean your Inbox/Drafts/Sent Items/Deleted first and then it should reduce the MAPI file amount considerably.. Delete the rest if you wish. It never erases _normal_ SMS messages. Not sure on MMS.

Have a look in IPSM/Windows/AppMgr/Install. CAB files that have failed to install or whatever can reside there, but can be safely deleted.

Also, have a look in My Documents folder for pictures and sounds, coz camera pics can be there taking up quite some space.

Sounds and Homescreens can take up some space, especially large WAV ringtones.. MMS are usually not too big, but that x10 could be something like 300kb..

IA Style produced a Flash Manager in their 3xUtility pack and it can clean up some stuff and show what takes up your space. A trial is availible. I personally do not like it.. Does same stuff, but is not very flexible. Still worth a look. Another thing is a new SpaceMaker Lite that finds some temp files that can be erased, but didn't do a great deal on my phone.. Have a search...

Done that, nothing in folder!

Nothing in there. No install folder. All working apps.

No pics! Don't do pics with spv!

...

Now this I thought was the culprit but when I changed the skins to the original orange ones there's still no difference. I had smart OS and WINXP skins and Mission Impossible ringtone but there's still 4.25Mb of storage and 7.36Mb of Available memory left.

Anymore ideas please? Anyone else please? I know the original post was for full phone but I still have a very slow Inbox with no message opening facilities.

It's not the memory SO WHAT THE *&$%**£%$^ IS IT?

Probably tried it, but I got caught when I left the screen capture util running and ended up with 9k free on the phone! Think the screen shots get captured to IPSM/My Documents folder...I think. Hope you find the problem!

It may well be because you've installed too many apps locally on the phone instead of the storage card. Go through all the programs you've installed, uninstall then reinstall to the Storage Card instead. This method has disadvantage in that you can't swap SDcards so readily, but it sound like the solution in your case.
