Guest Honest John Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 What is the current state of play with this? Have the telcos got it working? I tried sending a photo to a photo-enabled T-Mobile phone, but all my mate got was a sms with a URL to look up. Has anyone got cross net photoing working or are there still problems. thanks.
Guest James Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 i have only managed to get in working between orange mate.

Guest wirefree90 Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Try sending an MMS between different handset types...GD87 to SPV... This is one of the current hot topics and is being looked at by the GSMA CEO's forum.
Guest James Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 i could not even get a nokia 6100 to send one to my spv.... kept saying transfer failed!
Guest amo Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 As far as links between networks regarding mms, the current stance is orange, o2 and tmob are fine to send/receive mms between each but vodaphone doesnt work. That was my understanding anyway
Guest jason8 Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Just last week Orange confirmed that cross-network mms had been finalised, but aparantly they are having some problems with Orange->Vodafone mms.
Guest Ethanol Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Found this question on Orange website FAQ: Q: Why aren't MMS messages to other networks compatible? When I send a photo message to a friend on Vodafone, all she gets is a website link. A: There is not currently an MMS interconnection with the Vodafone network. We hope this functionality will be available soon. You can send MMS between Orange and O2 users at the moment.
