Can we remove ICS soft keys bar on Gallant duo?

I was recently googling to remove the ICS soft keys bar on gallant duo and found this link:

Can we follow this to remove the ICS bar on Gallant duo as well? is there any other solution to acheive the same?

Add in /system/build.prop file the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

This work ok in nexus devices like galaxy nexus and nexus 7.I dont have a gallant to try this so if you can take the risk to do it,you can try it

I was referring to the bottom bar which has the back,home and recent apps buttons. Dont think after rooting, i would get an option to uninstall.

1. Install Full Screen Toogle

2. Install Button Saviour from Market

3. Run Application Full Screen Toogle -> Disable Nav, Full Screen

4. Reboot Your Phone

5. It's Gone now...
