Guest unidentified Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Sorry little confusion here. I am on Vodafone factory ROM and rooted. I installed ClockWorkMod recovery (I think) from the link and following the instructions on this page -> http://huaweig300.co...rkmod-recovery/ It said it installed fine and I rebooted. I then installed ROM Manager from the marketplace. When I go into ROM Manager and try and use Backup Current ROM or Manage and Restore Backups I get the following method however: "You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed before continuing! Install the recovery through ROM Manager first" If I press install, it says "Confirm Phone Model" but the G300 / U8815 is not listed. Little confused? Says it installed, but appears not to be? Guest bladebuddy Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 The g300 is not a compatible device with rom manager, so it won't show/work. The easiest way to see if you have clockwork mod installed is to pull out you're battery then replace and power on with the volume up and you should boot into it. Whilst there you could do a nandroid backup as it will come in handy should something go wrong flashing rom's e.t.c..

Looks like ClockworkMod is screwed up somehow. Pulling battery and booting with volume up key held and power key just causes the Huawei logo to display forever - it never changes. Looks like I have lost recovery. Can still boot phone normally though if I do a battery pull and power on - just can't get into recovery. Any suggestions?
Guest fr0do Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 That's the expected behavior for vol down + power (bootloader mode). Try again ;) You don't have to pull the battery, just power off. With fast boot disabled.
