Guest madu Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Both OS native SIM Manager and the IA Style seem to 'not see' some of the entries... The funny thing is that it could either not see a contact at all or just some of the numbers. I think the database file on my phone is corrupted. Or is it a common problem. I tried hard-reset and then restore the files from O Backup, but same happens. Is there a way to rebuild the database on the phone or manually correct it in some way?? It is getting to me.. I think it is all linked to my Syncing problem that I described a few times before and also my recent post re 'Space after Number'.. Maybe not... Thanks madu PS: Anyone knows how the database is accessed by SIM manager and that may give me a clue on how to deal with it?? Or any other suggestions would be VERY welcome!
Guest Arisme Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 The SIM Manager rescans everything from the SIM card files when it's run (that's why it's soooooo fast ) - can you check it in another phone to see if you can find a pattern in the missing entries ?
Guest HelloDave Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 If you're really desperate don't forget the good 'ol Win CE database viewer if you think your files might be corrupted - http://www.smartphonedn.com/libraries/dbviewsp.html. It's cumbersome but works.
