Contact names not appearing in Messaging app, unless saved with country code

When I get a message, the contact's name doesn't appear in the messaging app - just their number.

If I click the sillhouette beside the thread, the contact's card comes up, but if I hit back the thread doesn't change.

If I go into the People app, select the person and then select message, it updates the thread - even if I don't type anything. (In fact - if I hit the sillhouette and then hit message beside their number it does it too).

Didn't have this problem with KonstaKANG CM9

TPTed and flashed KonstaT CM10 and the problem started. Updated to cm-10-20121116-KonstaKANG-blade.zip and it's still a problem.

The only contacts that the issue hasn't arisen for are the ones that have +353 saved as part of the number (Irish country code). Obviously I don't want to go through all my contacts and change them individually, and the way it is at the moment is a pain in the ass.

Wondering has anyone else encountered a problem like this?

When I originally flashed the CM10 ROM onto my Blade I was in England - could doing the initial set up while I was there have had an effect? How do I go about redoing the initial set up - would restoring to factory settings fix it, or would I need to do a full wipe of the phone and start again?

I would wipe system and factory reset then reflash CM10 and Gapps (after backing up of course :-) ). I suspect this is because your phone has set it's locale to UK.

I am using KonstaT's CM10 and I have never experienced said issue.
