I have two questions:

1) Is it possible to allocate an individual ringtone to a contact?

2)Does anyone know where I can download details of the UK bank holidays into my calendar on my SPV ?

1) Yes, open a contact, menu > edit, scroll down a bit to 'custom ringtone'

2) Should be possible, try finding that for MS Outlook (PC version). Not for SPV! And then just sync...
