Guest cpt_andy Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 When fiddling with unlocking my phone to use my T-mobile SIM I seem to have it (almost) permanently switched over. I did the "battery trick" to get it temporarily working, switched off then swapped the Orange SIM back in. I held down record when powering on and went to the 3 colour screen. I then turned it on, and when it loaded - "One2One" was displayed on the Home page and a quick 150 confirmed it was using my T-Mobile account. The phone can now be turned off and on, with the Orange SIM in place, but connecting to T-Mobile. I have yet to see how long this will last for. Note1: My Orange SIM is an expired SIM that displays Network Denied normally. I don't know if this works with fully working Orange SIMs. Note2: The SPV displays the roaming triangle on the Home page when connected to T-Mobile with the Orange SIM. I'm not sure of the significance of this. Note3: I first noticed this when I did the software certificate unlock - I'm not sure if this is a necessary step. Note4: When I had this setup working, I tried putting the T-Mobile SIM into my old phone. This caused the SPV to not be able to connect, and on the next restart I was back to the "Network Denied" message (what I would normally expect from this Orange SIM). Could someone else please have a go as I would be interested in the exact procedure necessary to do this. Good Luck Cpt. Andy
Guest omar_g Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 Check your T-Mobile bill and be sure you're not paying roaming charges. To check dial 150 Option 1, Option 2, Option 1 (Store in phonebook as: 150pp1p2p1)
