Unlock T-Mobile Pulse (aka Huawei U8220)

After trying to get my T-Mobile Pulse unlocked at several phone shops, tried Ebay which at under £5 was cheaper than most unlocking websites. Seller c-o-d-e-x couldn't find the unlock code but gave me a refund immediately with no messing about. Seller Phone.market found the unlock code (and they have v responsive support).

btw, I looked hard for a free unlock code but all claims to supply such were useless.

I tried flashing the official 2.1 Android from the T-Mobile website but it just comes back with "Update failed" and leaves the phone in an unusable state. Fixed by flashing the original 1.5 Android, also available on T-Mobile's website.
