T-mobile vivacity stuck on android robot screen when booting

Hi,

I really am a complete novice here. I'm wondering whether you could help me with my T-mobile vivacity. When I turn it on it goes to the android robot screen and stays there for about 10 mins before turning off. What could be the problem and is it easily fixable.

What did you do immediately before your TMV hung on boot?

It's like saying "my cooker will not work.....what could be wrong?"
