Today we’re making SwiftKey Flow beta available and we’re very excited about it. SwiftKey Flow is so much more than another gesture input keyboard. It redefines touchscreen typing with a series of incredible innovations. Most notably, SwiftKey Flow lets you write an entire sentence without letting go of the screen. All you need to do is pass your finger over the space bar between each word that you trace out. Let SwiftKey Flow do the rest, and you’ll see the words you want magically appear on the screen. We call this ‘Flow Through Space’. I've installed on my Nexus 4 and I have to say that although i'm not generally a fan of swipe based input, it does seem to work well and of course tapping on the keyboard works as brilliantly as ever (SwiftKey is my keyboard of choice). Guest 3shirts Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Have to say, I was an ardent fan of SwiftKey until I got the Nexus 4 but have found the 4.2 keyboard to be pretty nice to use. I've downloaded the beta of this and so far it does seem to be the best of both; Lovely swiping action but with much better corrections and suggestions. Any idea on the final price?

Well, I originally bought SwiftKey X on sale first (and SK3 goes on sale quite regularly as well) and I was more than glad to pay full price for the Tablet version (which seem to never be on sale ;)) I don't want to re-purchase both of them for full-price though...
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 I use Thumb Keyboard (Or Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard - with External Keyboard Helper pro). I used to use the hacker's keyboard before I got the Bluetooth one. Swiftkey doesn't have enough predictions to get what I want correct far too often for my liking. It is like the whole prediction engine is tailored for ZOMG LOL ROFL pink :);):D type people.
Guest subzer0wbb Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 I think swiftkey has the best predictions/autocorrect . Flow works well, but I don't find it any quicker than normal typing, I have it installed, but I doubt I'll use it.

I came to swiftkey from swype - initially loved swype but was won over by the versatility of swiftkey - the predictions are great, but often I don't want the automatic suggestion so pick one of the other two. I miss the same facility when swiping in this beta, but then again, it is quick. It's always going to be a trade off between speed and accuracy - it's just going to take me a while to figure how i can best use the two techniques - ultimately i guess it will be flow then type when that lets me down
Guest Formel-LMS Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Hm, I've tried it now, but it seems to be a battery hog. Look at your battery indicator. I've deinstalled it and battery is fine after that. Have you seen this, too?

However in the past every version of SwiftKey has had free updates so I don't see this being any difference personally. Guest peterck Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 SwiftKey Flow keyboard is awesome but I don't like it when the prediction does not work sometimes on the browser on swype the gesture swpying worked all the time, it's not very good at getting double Letters words, you can't gesture swipe numbers.
