JiaYu announced the official prices for the 1GB versions,

http://www.gizchina....s-quad-core-g3/

for the 1GB model with 1850mAh battery its only 949 Yuan / $152 / £100.67

and for the 1GB model with 3000mAh battery its only 999 Yuan / $160 / £105.98

Thanks tillaz. Are you going to buy the 1gb version or wait for the 2gb one? Will there be a lot of difference in performance?

As Tillaz has a Nexus 4 i'm guessing he will just buy the 1GB G4 as it wont be used as his main phone although if you were to use this as your main phone i would recommend getting the Bigger battery 2GB ram version

Since the Jiayu G4 has so many variants, will multiple versions of the same ROM need to be made just to support each device?

Yea i allso would like to know this :)

I think this is a new video:

The UMI X2 allso looks really nice but i allready ordered my G4 advanced, if the pricing goes over the price mentoo asks will i have to pay more? Because if the price ismore i think i might be better off buying the UMI X2

not if the only difference is more memory / bigger battery

there will be some differences in the build.prop like the dalvik heap size, but nothing that cant be easily changed

which phone are you waiting for? let me know your thoughts.

I allready pre-ordered the G4 i posted the shop + coupon on the previous page. But now that i see the S1 im not sure anymore. If Jiayu is going to delay the 2gb 3000mah version i rather buy the s2 because it has 1080p display.

I hope jiayu gives some official release dates tomorrow..

For those looking at getting the JIayu G4 I have noticed an issue in quite a few videos where the Power/Volume buttons do not work well due to the design of the phone

Here is an example

Might wanna look at it before buying one

Just a question, do you think it is a good idea to buy a phone from china, will there be any issues & is it better to pay more and get a phone from the UK

I've had two phones and a tablet from china so far with no issues,

but if you can afford a bit extra I would recommend the nexus 4 any day

I like the UMI X2 and it's a very reasonable price although if i was to get a phone from the UK I would go all out and get the GS4 I could afford it but it just depends if i want to spend that much on a phone. I would get the Nexus 4 as the Nexus 7 is so smooth to use its just i like to use my phone as a media player as well so i would really want a Micro SD slot

As i've been looking at the UMI X2 quite a bit, it's going to ship with 4.2 and the smaller battery is also to keep it thinner
