is it safe to put in 3rd party batteries?

It's safe to put in Mugen battery's :P

Also very happy with this battery, just asked about them yesterday and it comes out today :D

i just want a 1650-2000 battery while keeping the same back cover and a 30$ price tag... i don't ask for more. this will be bulky and it's to expensive.

i second that. Glad there is now at least one alternative, but i would also prefer another battery that fits with the original back cover -- I like it !

This can be just a backup battery when needed...2-3 days away with business or something like that. Good thing that Mugen thought at this phone anyway and he's not the only one that produces smartphone batteries ;)

Any news on CM battery?? Kind of Acer to make a removeable battery and not sell any.

Got the Mugen 3200mah battery. Even after a week it still doesn't give me more than a day of battery life.

I need root to run the mugen software, which is proving difficult for simple old me.

It's a good battery but makes your phone look like a Tank!

indeed, but at least i can make it through the day, even on a busy day with a lot of flashing and nandroid backups and so ;-)

How much on screen time do you get? And full time?

Post some photos if you can!

It.s a higg capacity battery about 2200 mah ...you.ll get about double time ....

It's mere a 3200mAh battery.

I don't seem to get double lifetime, but that might be because the heavy battery makes me behave less economical with my device.

As it should have been out of the box. If I use my Phone like that with the stock battery it doesn't get me through the day.

Even when using greenify, which does a great job already ...

So yes, it's a bulky but usable Phone :-)

Have you tried Qualcomm's Battery Guru ?

Could you take a few pictures of your CM with the battery installed, so that we can see how bulky it makes it ? Thx.

These are the official pictures from the Mugen site. I'd like actual pictures taken from different angles from people who actually use the battery. Thx :)

Yes, i tried BatteryGuru, but i don't like it. I hasn't got the same effect as Greenify.

And I don't like apps taking decisions for me. What i do like is apps that do what I want them to do.

So for EnergySaving I use :

- Llama to manage WiFi/3g/Bluetooth based on my location -- screen on/off -- timed actions,

- Greenify to only allow certain apps to be active in tha background or sync when i want it

Good addons: Secure Settings for Llama, xposed framework for greenify; more control over appsync and hibernation of system apps and so ...

Xposed has also a wonderful addon to modify the DPI/fonts for an app just like ParanoidAndroind/PAC which does a great job !

Concerning the battery: it looks just like that. the pictures from Mugen that razvankim posted are good. If you really want some more pics, i'll have to take some when I'am at home,

because taking pics from my CloudMobile isn't possible with my CloudMobile ;-) I'll take some with my iPad.

Thanks a lot for all these suggestions. I'll have a look.

Would be nice to have pictures from different angles, yes. Thanks in advance :)

Here you go. The little 'gap' between and the battery door is not because of poor quality nor coming loose ... I just swapped batteries and just didn't fit it right, but when looking at the pictures I was too lazy to take new ones ;-) No worries, the battery door is in fact pretty good !
