When you do a full build it makes a recovery image as well. But over the past few days I've downloaded the AOKP 4.2 source which I've yet to work on, CM10.1 which lalit is working on, and pac. I'd like to take a look at some rom devving in more detail That should work just fine. Just make sure you flash GRUB onto the Windows HDD. I'd also recommend getting an SSD. I have a VM though.
