Hi,

Bought Vodafone G300 phone in UK last week and noticed today dead pixels on the top of the screen

I've downloaded a few pixel fixer apps but to no avail

I have installed Stock+ onto the phone

My two questions are

1) any tips for removing the dead pixels?

2) which rom should i install if i have to return phone?

I'm pretty sure that they have a set number of pixels that can fail before they have to replace it. Not news you want to hear, I know

If i return, which ROM should i install? I see the Factory ROMs but this had Vodafone branding

Do you mean an entire row of pixels? That was fixed by Huawei early on, in GB & ics

Apologies I see you installed 952. My bad

The status bar at the top has what appears to be a cluster of dead pixels, like a light faintly shining though

would the ROM affect this?

In an early release of gingerbread the screen was shifted up a couple of pixels. There was a dead spot at the bottom and the screen was chopped off at the top. This was fixed in official updates.

Hello me and my brother got the same phone but mine had a dead pixel at top not noticeable, seems to me its just 1. It never bothers me since I don't really care and no one else notices it. If there is a dead pixel I think its the screen to deal with not the display pixels... the dead pixels are usually faulty pixels as something's gone wrong, changing ROMs, using apps won't do anything... if it botheres you just replace the screen if it has warranty get a new one... or a refund...
