Guest jorgoxl Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Hi all, after buying the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo, and in lack of any information about an official update to Jelly Bean from Acer, I would like to know if there is any chance that one day our device gets updated to Android 4.1 or better 4.2? Or what should Acer release to help devs start developing custom jellybean ROMS? Thanks in advance
Guest siuxoes Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 In my opinion, Acer is not going to relase another update for this device, We will stay in ICS. The only chance we have is that one developer will bring JB to this device, but I don't think so. Sorry for my english
Guest jaarvin Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 It seems that there is no ICS for MT6575 ! :-(

Guest P_CAB Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Unlocked boot loader is the minimum requirement for development unlocked bootloader => custom recovery => custom rom => Cyanogenmod => possible upgrade to JB Oh yes i forgot kernel source The bootloader is already unlocked by PaulOBrien. Kernel source is available for download from the acer website... The only thing missing is an experienced developer... Edited February 9, 2013 by P_CAB
