how do your format memory card in the phone?

Trying to figure out how to format the memory card in the phone but clicking on it in settings > storage > memory card does not give any options?

I would do it on PC but it looks as though a 64gb card would need to be done in the phone to get it to work . Currently testing with 1gb card before I buy
