Guest invertedgoatie Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) Hi all, Woke up this morning and found my SDcard wiped, thought my phone was messing around so rebooted, removed battery etc. Still nothing on my SD card, none of my backups, photographs, anything! Just the base android folders. What the heck...I've just USB'd my phone into a computer and still nothing. I'm on Stock +. Any advice!!? Edited January 26, 2013 by invertedgoatie
Guest KaterM Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) To get your data back: DO NOT format the SD or anything of the sort. Boot up your PC with linux (live-cd or usb-stick) http://www.linuxforu...-files-linux-1/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhotoRec insert SD card in PC use "photorec" from "testdisk"-bundle to recover your files to the PC. or an external drive which is NOT your SD. Problem solved :) I have recovered most files for me and friends who had the same problem on various phones. It is not as rare as you might think! Then - and ONLY THEN - put SDcard back into your phone and formal it there. - get into the habit of making periodic backups  Edited January 26, 2013 by KaterM

Guest U8815 Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 After you recover your stuff you could try out "SD Formatter". Just Google it. I think after a quick format your stuff might still be there on the card.
