Features And Modifications: (to be done)

-Removed unneeded apps from system

-Removed unused media from /media folder

-Removed unnecessary tones from rom

-Removed Superuser and binaries

-Removed themes from /system/app for faster boot

-Removed unneeded system apps and moved them to /data/app

-Removed Stock android Gallery

-Added Lite version of few apps

-JB themed

-Added modified framework-res.apk (1.2b +)

-Added modified SystemUI.apk (1.2b+)

-Added modified Settings.apk (1.2b+) this is killing me

-Added SuperSu

-Added Quickpic

This rom is created because most of you people are having problems with CM7 and CM7 based roms

I understand that you have been waiting a lot of time for this Rom but I haven't been able to complete the settings apk it always boot loops

And my exams are also coming so I am pausing it all so this Rom will probably come around 29 March thanx for you patience

i can not wait to see this rom :P However if it is an ics look like rom i think it should be better to have stock android notification :)

p.s. do you remember the post about ics stock data monitor usage ? could you try to port it ? it could be really useful (at least for me)

That is the reason why this is taking a long time .... The phone used was Samsung and ours is Acer so its hard

if it's too much hard for now you can release the rom with bubble notification and keep working on android notification in the meanwhile :)

Its not the bubble notification that is causing any problem ... the data counter and layout modifications are the real culprit :o

The app seems to be compiling properly now but whenever i flash it (can't push via adb as to.secure=1) the app is not getting installed

So basically no settings app

Edit : if you don't want the Acer shell change the lines. (2-3 lines )beginning with Acer.shell (or similar) = ENABLED to DISABLED

They are in build.prop

I think I have found the culprit (not sure though)

I was signing the apk to with a key which was valid only till Dec '10 (strange)

Also I think/heard system apks retain their Signature so I am going to compile two apks and trying them

BUT NOT NOW

My Final exam is going on

It basically started from Feb 26 and will end on March 26

I had a 17 gap between two papers and so was working on the rom

Now time to get back to study ;)

Will upload the settings app if i get time

use this app on stock rom and based roms only

remember to backup the original app before replacing the app

Don't install it

Go to /system/app copy the original settings app to sdcard

Then copy my app to /system /app replace it asked ..... give permissions and then reboot
