Need help porting Blade camera to Tureis

Hey guys,

I want to modify my Tureis to get a newer Android running in the near future.

I can't use the original camera sensor because the drivers is missing from the source.

So I got a ov5642 sensor from the 5MP version of the ZTE Blade and compiled a new kernel with support for that sensor.

It is recognized by the kernel and a /dev/msm_camera entry is being created.

But no camera app is working. I tried the stock camera app, lgCamera and Camera360. All of them just show a black screen and freeze or shutdown.

Can anybody help me out here. Am I missing something?
