Guest luvvt Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Just curious as to what everyone is using as their baseband, B926 used to be a common base but seeing there are lots of stock firmwares now released which is better ??

Guest luvvt Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 How can you use either of those as a base when theyre not update apps but rather cwm flashes ???
Guest Cyda Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Still using the original B926 here - never had any issues so never felt the need to change it. Edited February 25, 2013 by Cyda
Guest Timbones Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) I think I'm on the baseband from B936*, with slower HSDPA:9 upload speed. Hardly use 3G, so can't be bothered to update it. Flashed via CWM since then. Edit: yes, I'm on IMEI SV 36. Edited February 25, 2013 by Timbones
Guest fr0do Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 936 always been solid for me so haven't changed. Was on cm10.1 now on stock +960
Guest Rico_89 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I was on B934 but then I went back to B926 awhile ago. I will be going to B952 in the next month or two but for now I'm happy running JB on B926.
Guest tcpaulh Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 B952 is solid here with jellybean 10.1 on top B952 > IMEI SV: 50 B944 > IMEI SV: 39 B936 > IMEI SV: 36 B934 > IMEI SV: 34 B926 > IMEI SV: 26 Check in About Phone, Status
Guest Cyda Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 B952 is solid here with jellybean 10.1 on top B952 > IMEI SV: 50 B944 > IMEI SV: 39 B936 > IMEI SV: 36 B934 > IMEI SV: 34 B926 > IMEI SV: 26 Check in About Phone, Status That's useful info. I didn't know that. Cheers.
Guest nsmacd1 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) I am on Daz's JB 10.1 R2 with baseband 2030 - Is it worth changing to a different baseband? Also HSDPA:8 and IMEI SV=36 if this helps? Edited February 25, 2013 by nsmacd1

Guest nsmacd1 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Why would you want to change your baseband? I thought there may be an updated/better version about to play with to get better reception!
Guest Timbones Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Do we still think that only SV 26 and 27 provide HSPA:11 with higher upload speeds? Any found another update that does? Is this related to the RIL, or is that entitely different?
Guest kyan31 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I thought there may be an updated/better version about to play with to get better reception! It's not the baseband you want to change, you want to change your imei sv. If you change your baseband from 2030, you wont be able to install custom ROM's anymore.
Guest hippy dave Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 My IMEI SV is 90, and it also claims to be connected at HSPA:11 I haven't run any speed test comparisons yet tho.
Guest wouterbeer Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 My IMEI SV is 90, and it also claims to be connected at HSPA:11 I haven't run any speed test comparisons yet tho. So what update is that? According to this list its newer than new!? B952 is solid here with jellybean 10.1 on top B952 > IMEI SV: 50 B944 > IMEI SV: 39 B936 > IMEI SV: 36 B934 > IMEI SV: 34 B926 > IMEI SV: 26 Check in About Phone, Status
Guest tcpaulh Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Yep, I dont know what 90 is. Perhaps you remember what the last full official update was? Here's a fuller list :- B952 (Free)> IMEI SV: 50 B944 (Yoigo)> IMEI SV: 39 B942 (Vodafone UK)> IMEI SV: 50 B936 (Vodafone ES / UK)> IMEI SV: 36 B934 (Free)> IMEI SV: 34 B926 (China Unicom)> IMEI SV: 26 B888 (Symio)> IMEI SV: 88 B882 (Vodafone UK)> IMEI SV: 82 From
Guest hippy dave Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) It's one of the gingerbread ones, can't say which version for certain until I'm on my laptop. B89x tho I think. Edited February 25, 2013 by hippy dave
Guest dakok Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) IMEI sv39 and B935 OTA (free) Edited February 25, 2013 by dakok
Guest hippy dave Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 So IMEI SV 90 is B892. I did a speed test, if anything the upload speed looks better than B926, tho the download speed is lower (both better than B936). I expect they vary with time of day/network business anyway tho.
Guest wouterbeer Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Here's a fuller list :- B944 (Yoigo)> IMEI SV: 39 From http://www.modaco.co...60#entry2086534 IMEI sv39 and B935 OTA (free) So the same IMEI SV codes can be a result of different updates?
Guest tcpaulh Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 So the same IMEI SV codes can be a result of different updates? It's Huawei
Guest wouterbeer Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Ah, well, just wondering because I cannot remember what update.app I used. Thought this might help me find it, but seems it's still not 100% sure then ;) (Edit: Got IMEI SV 34 so for now I put my money on B934) Edited February 25, 2013 by wouterbeer
Guest tcpaulh Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 B935 is less common, certainly @ modaco.
