Guest kido44 Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 I know this has been asked before but I'm getting confused. I've bought a 64gb sd card so could someone talk me through the process of increasing the internal memory by allocating some of the sd card (ie 1gb) to external Menory or even all of it? Whsts the best way to do this?
Guest dalyer Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 Are you referring to swap or zram? Any use? Might be more here: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Amodaco.com+g300+swap+zram
Guest Redflake Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 He's referring to using some of the sd card to expand internal storage. Partition SD card and use something like a2sd mod. Used to use it on Acer liquid metal.
Guest dalyer Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 (edited) Sorry - I (mis?)read the original post as looking for a way to increase/supplement memory (RAM) by using some part of the sdcard. a2sd or link2sd etc. may be an options but link2int may be better since it uses the (usually?) otherwise unused internal 2GB partition as a link2sd target. Guest bladebuddy Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 This phone can use a 64gb sd card. I really do need 2 read more.
Guest omegavesko Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Create an ext partition on your SD card, then install an a2sd script or an app like s2e (this is what I use).
Guest omegavesko Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Why not use link2int? That works too. :)
Guest dalyer Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Yeah - just that the 2GB internal partition is most likely going unused otherwise as far as I know so may as well use than before taking space in the sdcard.
Guest kido44 Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Don't understand any of what your saying
Guest dalyer Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 What exactly are you trying to do? What exactly do you not understand of the comments above?
