Guest dakok
- You have to have ICS or JB (baseband 2030), rooted, unlocked bootloader and a recovery (cwm, maybe twrp) - Download zip file (rom), gapps for ICS or JB and transfer that to SDcard - Turn on debugging on your phone, turn off fast boot, turn off phone (some folks remove battery now:)) - Press vol. up and power button together for 10 seconds. - You are in CWM now (probably) - Wipe data/factory reset - Wipe cache partition - Mounts: Format System, Cache, Cust, Data - Advanced: Wipe Dalvik cache, battery stats if you have them, Reboot recovery - Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> your rom (zip) - Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> gapps for ICS/JB (zip) - Reboot to system And don`t make an error with gapps version: GB: 20110828 ICS: 20120429 CM 4.1.x: 20121011 CM 4.2.2: 20130301 P.S. How on earth can "GB rom work fine after ICS update.app"??? Edited May 12, 2013 by dakok

I done all of the steps I know what I am doing ;) But I will be honest, I think I forgot to mount System, Cache, Cust, Data...that was probably the issue. You didn't understand me, after Baidu, only GB (for 2030) roms were working. As you know after UPDATE.APP, you haw to flash recovery :)
Guest phyllocrania
well have you tried the suggested solutions from a post right above yours? or do you maybe expect someone to do it for you... Tried. Turned out useless. Thanks.
Guest pOcHa
I done all of the steps I know what I am doing ;) But I will be honest, I think I forgot to mount System, Cache, Cust, Data...that was probably the issue. people, when will you learn? read the below quote again very carefully: and you do have a couple of problems - the rom auto formats the system, but: - if you don't wipe the cache, then you will still be using some old system files from the previous rom, which may not be compatible - if you don't wipe the data, then some system files will still be using the old settings from the previous rom, which may not be compatible - not sure about the cust, but baidu doesn't use it, so wipe it anyway, just in case that is why most developers won't even acknowledge a bug if you don't do ALL the wipes you could have gotten away without those wipes before, but only between stock based roms, as they all have a similar file structure so most of it just gets overwritten anyway - but not so with other roms (baidu included) Is there any way to change the default storage on this rom? The problem i have is randomly it changes from internal to ext sdcard and this causes problems with downloading themes and some other apps behave like i have not used them before? the default storage is already the external sd card - if you want it to be the internal, then just flash the little addon of mine attached below... and i never had the storage switching problem, nor that 3g one - did you do all the wipes? (i swear, this is like becoming my own personal mantra now) Edited May 13, 2013 by pOcHa
Guest phyllocrania
thanks dakok, you're our chinese connection... those with APN problems should check out this file: /system/etc/apn-config.xml first check if your carrier is in there, and if all of its parameters are correct - otherwise add or correct it, and reboot if that didn't help, then try simply deleting the whole file (backup first), and after a reboot try to add your own APN in the settings and save it if something works don't forget to let the others know UPDATE: reported as not working... I will try this again tonight with a fresh install (with full wipes, etc) again. (Previously also I installed with full data wipes). Will let know if it works. I really liked this Baidu ROM. Guest dakok
No links, yet. Check this out (from another baidu topic): I had more trouble getting the APN saved on this rom than on other versions, but then I swapped out the /system/etc/apns-conf.xml for one from cyanogenmod, and data now works fine on giffgaff.
