Finally upgraded my ascend G300 to ISC - lost all user data!?

Before upgrading I was asked to back up my settings. However absolutely none of it has been restored now that I have completely the upgrade. I am quite angry.

It's annoying especially having to set up mobile networks again so I can use picture messages.

I can't see any option to restore after having done this "backup".

also how do I get back a keyboard where I can swipe down to get numbers off qwerty etc.

Why don't you ask this in the G300 section?

It seems like a general problem, not specific to the G300. It's an issue with Google's supposed backup service.

Also, how do I change the download directory. from what I can see, there's no option to which is absolutely ridiculous.
