Guest nabby21 Posted April 2, 2013 Report Posted April 2, 2013 Ok, so I am on the 107 version of infusion ICS. I am having a problem where whenever I set my SD card as the default storage place, it always switches back to internal memory. Also its abit slow lately. Any recommendations/great new roms worth trying?
Guest denzele Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 not sure if you tried slim rom but highly recommend you to try...very fast and battery very friendly... :D
Guest GOlteanu Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Baidu ROM, it's wonderfull, great performance, great battery live, excelent gaming and so on...
Guest george109 Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) Try CyanogenMod 9.1. its, a "cleaner" version of ICS. if you want jelly bean go for CM10.1 The storage is fixed on both of these Edited April 10, 2013 by george109
Guest nabby21 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Can I upgrade straight from my current rom to all of those mentioned? Its been a while since I've put a new rom on, I kind of forget. With so many recommendations, how do I choose one? Any that are widely known as standout roms over the others?
Guest nabby21 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Can someone also remind me of the steps I need to install again, straight from the rom infusion ICS rom Im currently on. Is it, move the new rom to sd card. The wipe cache etc. Then install new rom and thats it?
Guest george109 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 No, it will cause problems for the update, and to install Download the ROM and Gapps where they are needed, reboot to recovery, wipe data/factory reset then wipe the cache, go advanced, wipe dalvik cache and battery stats. Then go and install zip from sdcard and then find it, flash it and then reboot.
Guest nabby21 Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Cheers george. Went for CM9.1 and am loving it. One question though, where is the option to set SD card as default storage place?
Guest george109 Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 (Correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't think that you can, you have to do it manually, or you could download force2SD lite, as it moves apps that can't usually be moved in the apps option like chrome.
