dakok i would like to try miui v5 by geno v3.5.31 but the updater script is wrong again, ive deleted all lines with 8818 in but it still wont install, do you know what else i have to change/delete to make it work. thanks for all your hard work past and present

You should replace 8818 with 8815. I tried it myself and it worked. The ROM was pretty slow, I would not recommend it. Good luck :)

Find build.prop file in system folder inside ROM, and change 8818 to 8815 :)

I flashed the latest release, full wipes and such. It seem a bit slow, even the lockscreen was laggy. Maybe for others will be better, who knows :D

Update script is not in build.prop, that script is in:

Meta-inf/com/google/android/

Why bother with miui v5, you will back your old rom in a few hours after use it.

Try the free version of Big Buttons on Google Play. I find it very good.

Trying that CM7 beta1, all good so far, no issues. I'm really indecisive about sticking with gingerbread for performance or ICS/JB for features.

Thanks dakok for your dedicated work on this thread :)

Hmm now I'm half tempted to try that, as I haven't found a CM7 theme that I'm fussed about yet :-) do want to stop flashing one of these days tho.
