Guest sedj Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Does Auto brightness work? In call voice fixed?
Guest fraska Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Does Auto brightness work? In call voice fixed? Yes, autobrightness works, it's fixed on CM10.1 R3. What problems do you mean for in call voice? Welcome back fraska,Nice work. Thanks ;)
Guest popoyaya Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) What problems do you mean for in call voice? The main problems with CM10.1 are 1. painfully distorted over-amplified sound when making calls, and 2. really bad battery life (3G related i think). Until these are fixed it is unusable IMHO, which is a shame as the user interface is slicker than any other by far. Edited April 25, 2013 by popoyaya

Guest fraska Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 This rom is based on CM10.1 R3. Voice call distorted i think that is kernel related and not software related.
Guest popoyaya Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 This rom is based on CM10.1 R3. Voice call distorted i think that is kernel related and not software related. Probably true but there is no alternative kernel for CM.
Guest sedj Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) Trying it now, first error "Sound Search for Google Play has stopped". This keeps flashing up without doing anything? Would be nice to have a boot animation, i thought the flash had gone bad. Edit: The error above seems to have gone away now after a reboot and general setting up? Edited April 25, 2013 by sedj
Guest kyan31 Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 And about Phone signal? That can't be fixed until CMR4 comes out, stop asking the same question over and over :P Anyway, welcome back Fraska :)
Guest mack_ Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 So, what have you done to it apart from update apps?
Guest Milky Joe Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 About loud in-call volume: I had this and sorted it. You may want to write this down, it's complicated. What I did was press the volume down button. If you don't know how to do this, PM me.
Guest Fikret488 Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 That can't be fixed until CMR4 comes out, stop asking the same question over and over :P Her kid you're like a nightmare everywhere and if you have no one's asking you to answer me as I asked you.

You may want to write this down, it's complicated What I did was press the volume down button. If you don't know how to do this, PM me. There's a big difference between "loud" and "distorted". Try making a call on any stock rom and you'll notice a world of difference. And keep your snotty little snide comments to yourself. You're obviously only 12 years old but it doesn't make you look big or clever. Quite the opposite.

Times that by 3 (minus a few years) and add alcohol. Still, I had this issue and turned the volume down. No distortion nor too-loudness.

Well in my experience turning down the volume reduces the earache but the distortion persists making conversations filled with "sorry could you repeat that" etc. I recently switched to Stock+ and can finally enjoy clear pleasant sounding phone calls again. Guest Owl93 Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 I speak with some experience with several JB roms: until phone signal problem is fixed it's unusable for me. Either way welcome and keep up the good work! Thank you!

Guest dakok Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 Can somebody explain what makes CM10.1 for g300 so desirable that people keep on making roms based on it. Why is it more attractive than CM10 which is a complete product (almost)? For a CM10 rom you can choose between three bases: dazzozo - OK joestone - OK, with wifi freezes, rom is being updated shendu - OK, with minor bugs, rom is being updated For a cm10.1 base you have only a buggy one, which is not likely to be improved in near future, or ever. Is this what it`s worth for: - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggle in Quick Settings using long-press - Percentage and estimated time remaining in download notifications - Wireless charging and low battery sounds changed :) :) :) - Gallery app updated for faster loading with new image transition :) :) :) - Performance enhancements and bug fixes (Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming fix...) P.S. @telonius CM10.1 has a bug that makes it loose network signal without showing a change in network icon. It is heavy on battery consumption, too. It`s papa doesn`t like it :)
Guest fraska Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 If CM10.1 R3 has phone signal problems or in voice call distorted audio they're kernel related, not software and making a kernel isn't very simple, so we have to say thanks to Dazzozo for his CM builds. Before use CM10.1 R3 I used CM10 R6 because R2 it was very slow and bugged in my opinion. In R3 the things get better, but if there are a lot of request i can think to make it basing also on CM10.
Guest popoyaya Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 For a CM10 rom you can choose between three bases: Aren't they all based on Daz's work? How in-call sound quality?
