Anyone ever heard of "Start One" .. could be called just "Star".

Star isn't a very good company, they produce cheaply made phones which are usually copies of other phones. I would recommend companies such as Jiayu, Sheng, UMI, Xaiomi, Meizu, Oppo, Neo, and maybe some others if I can remember :P

It actually doesn't look that bad, but it's obviously a clone of the HTC Butterfly which might not be a plus to most people.

Cheaply made is what would stop me buying one of these.. If anything goes wrong with it you're pretty much out of pocket, but the specs are off the chart for the price.

I've found out a few things about this phone. It doesn't have Gorilla glass, only supports sd cards up to 16gb, no front facing led notification and does not have DLNA support. I thought DLNA was just an app so maybe it could work but one seller stated not dlna.

i just want to known i can buy it from them direct to the uk for 999 yuan, or if its just a china thing?

Yeah the JIAYU G4 is a better buy.. and it looks freakin gorgeous in black.. a lot like the new Blackberry Z10. The cheapest I could find it on pre order is £147 for the 1gb and £170 for the 2gb ram version. Apparently there were software and hardware issues that have led to a delay that won't see it shipped until around May 15th.

Even if you can't buy it direct from Jaiyu, it will still be well worth the extra £40 or £50... I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the G4.

dealextreme.com has lots of devices at low prices free shipment to the hole world . Had a star A5000 . Wasen't to bad for a mtk chipset device with only 480 mhz processor. not easy to root and no custom rom or not easy to overclock . But you folks take a look at the site ; you'l find devices with a better performance to at low prices . Almost all smartphones have a english menu , Sorry for bad English guys
