Guest guillermob Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Hi, in your opinion what is the best 4.2.2 rom. I want an smooth rom and stable - Electra v3 -AOKP -Dazzozo CM10.1 -PAC r3
Guest plewis1981 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 PAC is good but unstable :/ +1 AOKP has nearly as many options and found it more stable than PAC
Guest nikbos Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 There is no smooth an stable JB rom for g300.
Guest george109 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Electra is good. Its stable and is based on cm10.1 so its even better.
Guest plewis1981 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 There is no smooth an stable JB rom for g300. Have you tried AOKP 4.2.2??
Guest TangerineTractor Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Have you tried AOKP 4.2.2?? +1 Definitely worth trying, it's excellent
Guest Redflake Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Electra is good. Its stable and is based on cm10.1 so its even better. All four ROMs are based on cm10.1 !
Guest george109 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 All four ROMs are based on cm10.1 ! I know, But I what I mean is in my experience electra is stable and better than CM10.1 as it has improvements.
Guest tillaz Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 AOKP & PAC are built from there own source, AOKP https://github.com/AOKP, Site http://aokp.co/ PAC https://github.com/PAC-man AOKP features are all totally different to CM, and there are way more of them. PAC has the lot all in one ROM... i started making a custom build for the nexus 4, rearranging all the settings into one category, with tabbed pages as i think it looks untidy with them all on the main settings page.
Guest marcioo Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 +1 AOKP has nearly as many options and found it more stable than PAC I know but I really like more PAC because it have more features :P

On either of these roms does Tvcatchup work? I know it doesn't work on cm 10.1 roms and that's 1 of the main reasons I keep going back to Ics as it works fine on them roms.

Guest TangerineTractor Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Tv catchup doesn't work on AOKP. BBC iPlayer works ok. Although I remembered a cm workaround that works on AOKP too: install vlc media player, then use the stock browser to go to m.catchup.com, and when it asks what app to view the video in, select vlc.

Guest TangerineTractor Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 yeah I tried that on Electra but found it too laggy. Just tried it on aokp and it was fine.
Guest jamie_w Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Just tried it on aokp and it was fine. Thanks i'll give it a try :D

The AOKP thread on Modaco says it's based on CM10.1? It also says that all CM10.1 bugs will be present so I can't understand how people can say it's much better.
Guest GeryEmreiss Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 I think aokp uses Daz's cm10 kernel and device files, but rest of Rom is compiled from aokp source. So it still can has some cm10 bugs, if they are in kernel or dev. files. But some of bugs can be fixed.

Guest Maegashira Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Elektra is great. It has a 16yo developer and a nifty logo. And is based on daz's stuff and has more features and more gigabyte, so it's even better. i was joking. thanks tillaz for your advice on aopk. i'm still using your infusion. if there is any rom that can come up with that battery life and stability then i would be willing to trade. my question would be: is it time to switch or better wait a few month?
Guest Wincik Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 Is there any ROM without CM kernel? I'm tired from the testing a lot od ROMs with horible quallity of call sound, but I wanna daily use JB. :D
Guest hippy dave Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 The aokp 4.2.2 rom didn't have any sound problems when I tried it.
