Symlink Status 7 error

hi there, I am now on PAC rom R12 and I cannot install R13 either R14 or Slim 3.1, when I try to install recovery says:

Extracting system

symlink: some symlinks failed

E: error in / (rom .zip location)

(Status 7)

Installation aborted

Help needed! I have made all the necessary wipes before trying to install new rom.

try in recovery, to unmount system. and then try install r13 again.

for me it worked when i had that problem. ;)

rebooting recovery under 'advanced' settings helped :)

What version of the recovery do you have?

So, if you boot to recovery, it will say:

CWM based recovery 6.0.2.7

(for example)

I seriously recommend upgrading to ,6.0.2.7 Touch Recovery, as the old one has a lot of bugs. Also it has a lot of improvements like IMEI Backups.

You could also try TWRP, as it is a lot easier to use, compared to CWM.
