Guest REUBI Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Hi guys I have a G300+ which I attempted to root to install a custom rom. I followed the directions on http://huaweig300.com and managed to get to http://huaweig300.com/huawei-g300-install-a-custom-jelly-bean-ics-rom-from-scratch/re-root-unlock-bootloader-install-clockworkmod-recovery/ before bricking my phone. The brick occurred after running "BootloaderG300.exe". It appears I have exactly the same issue as this guy: http://www.modaco.com/topic/362789-bricked-my-phone-will-not-boot-whatsoever/ Same symptoms and everything. I would like to confirm, is the G300+ actually supported by this unlock bootloader method? If not, what can we use? Thanks for your help
Guest sharkyo01 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Does it turn on at all? Also I would of used the official way to unlock the boot loader. Did you use the right Bootloader.exe because there is two of them one for baseband 2030 and 19808.
Guest Pyntux Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 There's no bootloader.exe for 109808 because on GB and "old baseband" bootloader is not locked... Is g300+ same as g300?
Guest REUBI Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 The difference between the G300 and the G300+ is that the G300+ supports more frequencies (HSPA 850/900/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900) That's the only difference I'm aware of. I upgraded to 2030 baseband before attempting to unlock bootloader. I used the file found at http://huaweimobile.com.au/support/mobile-phones under G300+
Guest george109 Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Have you tried plugging in the phone, without the battery?
Guest PaulMilbank Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Did you just get the firmware file from that Aussie site? Did the phone work after that? are you in Aussie? is it an Aussie phone? Basebands and bootloaders are complex things and are coded only for one phone. I would get the correct firmware from your phone provider, put the dload file on your sd card, plug the phone in with the battery out and try start it using the volume down and power combo (I think, it may be volume up or volume up and down at the same time.)

Thanks for your help You should attempt to unlock bootloader of your phone by using this method here - link , code is generated for free, then only procedure from cmd window is left.
