Guest Charlie Mouse Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 If I unlock my phone will I have to apply for new activation codes for software I have bought? What if I backup the phone first and then restore it? Cheers for any help.
Guest HelloDave Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 If I unlock my phone will I have to apply for new activation codes for software I have bought? Yes, not that it should worry you, because clearly you've "bought" the software...
Guest yatpeak Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 If you've saved it to the SD, you shouldn't have to, you can just make a link to it. But I'm not too sure. Wyatt
Guest spacemonkey Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Depends on the software, but for instance all-explorer definitely will have to be re-activated. It bases it's code on some number that obviously gets reset on a hard reset (a GUID or something) so your old activation number won't be valid. Luckily the activation is automated over the web so it's not a big inconvenience.
