Guest PaulOBrien Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 The writing has been on the wall for a while... but B&N have just announced that they won't be producing any new Android tablets after the current HD and HD+ inventory is exhausted. Attempting to cut their significant losses, B&N will instead partner with other companies to expand the reach of the Nook ecosystem. They aren't exiting the hardware game completely... they will continue to develop their e-ink devices where the market is much less competitive. It seems like a sensible move really. It's a little sad as i've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Nook tablets (and they've done a good job), but it's just too cut-throat a space to be in nowadays. We wish them well with turning things around! Expect to see even cheaper pricing on the excellent Nook HD range... including the overhauled Nook HD+. Click here to view the item
