Guest crisdale Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Hi Guys. I need you expertise on how i can make my phone work. Im using a custom ROM. All is well for a long time and one day it just hanged up. I removed the battery to restart it but then it just stucked up on the Huawei Ascend logo. When i enter to recovery mode (im using CWM), the below message appears: E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log E: Can't open/cache/recovery/log E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log E: Can't open/cache/recovery/last_log Below are the things that i already did to resolve this problem: >>I followed the instructions below from http://www.modaco.com/topic/362681-guide-how-to-unbrick-the-g300/ 1. Phone stuck at Huawei logo and CWM can be accesed:Enter CWMWipe Data and CacheGo to mounts & storage -> format \systemGo to advanced -> wipe dalvik cacheFlash any custom rom you want, but pay attention to the baseband!>> I tried updating using the UPDATE.APP. I tried using b926 and b952 found on http://www.modaco.co...oms-u8815u8818/B926: (4.0.3) UPDATE.APPB952 (International version 4.0.3) UPDATE.APP >>The problem in UPDATE.APP is that the pink progress bar always stops somewhere before the middle and takes forever. I need your help guys. Thank you very much! Edited July 1, 2013 by crisdale

Any chance you're putting the update.app on the internal "sdcard" and not the external? E.g.:

Anyway thanks guys..hope i can fix this soon..
Guest smweb Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 send to Huawei, faced similar issue and found the problem was due to a faulty motherboard
Guest sharkyo01 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) It does not sound like a healthy phone I ditto smweb... Either send it to Huawei or to the service provider you purchased it off. Another question how long you had it? Edited July 4, 2013 by sharkyo01
Guest crisdale Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I brought my phone to huawei service center. I will know the result within 3 days. Hope they can fix it. I had the phone for a year..
Guest crisdale Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Ok.... the Huawei Service center can't fix my phone :( I can still access recovery mode...what else can i do to fix my phone? :(
Guest Rico_89 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 You can boot into CWM.. What custom rom did you use to try and recover your phone? And what rom were you using before your phone stopped working.

My previous rom was TESLA which im using for a long time before my phone stopped working....
Guest Rico_89 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Things to try.. Do you have a Nandroid backup? If so then try and restore that and see. Try another mocrosd card. Remove your microsd card and place a third party flashable rom on the internal storage and see if you can flash it from there.

Guest kyan31 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Sharky is right, the newer versions of CWM allow internal storage mounting, so try to update.
Guest crisdale Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Hi Sharky - nothing happened when i tried fixing my phone last night... Hi Kyan - how are you buddy!!! hahaha :) help me out here ok? hahah So guys if i mount the internal storage via CWM i should be connected via USB on a laptop/pc? is that right? I forgot what version im using, im currently at work, but i think i saw an option there mount internal storage....if i remember it right then i will not update cwm anymore.. but if i need to update well i dont know how to update cwm hahaha..i will just search. Thanks! i will let you know after 24hrs :P
Guest sharkyo01 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 To update CWM you need too put the phone in to fast boot mode. Power button and volume button down remember to hold the volume button for a good 30 seconds. If you can access fast bood mode your be able to the load the new version of cwm on there. I also use AIO Android flasher (I am lazy :P) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28719715 You use the fastboot flasher which on the front panel of the software. Then just flash CWM to the recovery. http://www.modaco.com/topic/359191-recovery-cwm-clockworkmod-recovery-v6027-touch-hybrid-cm-last-updated-1601/ AIO Android flasher is a very piece of kit you can possibly get your phone working again via that. Yes if your able to mount your internal storage your be able to access it via computer

Here it is... http://www.solidfile...m/d/5747f9e85f/ Thanks Sharky, i will download it later. please confirm if my steps are correct: (from the screenshot on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28719715) 1. AIO Flasher tab 2. Select Partition >> Recovery 3. Select File 4. Flash ****There is no need to erase first what is in my Recovery before Flashing the updated CWM, is that right?
Guest sharkyo01 Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 It will erase it as part of updating that is part and parcel of it. Should take less then a minute.
