Can get into ROM but not into Recovery?

Hello, last night I installed B895, using the OEM info hack found on this forum. That all worked perfectly and I was also able to root without a problem.

I made another post last night asking about how to install cwm on gingerbread and read that you didn't need to unlock your bootloader, so I headded over to huaweig300.com and ran ClockworkG300.exe whilst the device was in bootloader mode (I think?? Volume down + power) and now when turning on with volume up it just freezes, doesn't even get into recovery...but if I then pull the battery it boots normally into GB.

How do I install CWM properly and does the bootloader need to be unlocked? I am waiting on my unlock code from huawei.

- Just used Fastboot command to install 5.0.2.8 - It flashed successfully...Backing up now :)
