Baidu Cloud ROM Jelly Bean English

Features:

Changes:

- completely rebased on Jelly Bean v4.1.1

- no more of that misleading "random offset" message

- added busybox and init.d scripts support

- changed the default settings to english

- renamed the device back to U8815 for play store

- using google network location (thanks to bruno)

- removed chinese characters from contacts and dialer (thanks to narkoman88)

- google services are already included, but no individual apps (get them from play store)

- added Huawei DLNA, TouchPal Keyboard, Baidu Browser (english version) and Play Store (latest v4.1.10) as user apps (can be uninstalled)

Required: baseband version 2030, and CWM (or TWRP?)

Instructions (wipe everything):

- Wipe data/factory reset

- Wipe cache partition

- Mounts and storage: format /cust

- Mounts and storage: format /data

- Advanced: Wipe dalvik cache

- Install zip: Choose zip from external sdcard -> BaiduCloudROM-JellyBean.zip

- Reboot system now

(if you get a prompt, then select "no" - it will not flash custom recovery, but install init.d scripts support)

settings -> security -> screen lock -> anything other than the hot word search

settings -> about phone -> privacy settings -> CEIP OFF

Not working:

- camera

- network data

- usb mass storage

- V6SuperCharger scripts by zeppelinrox (my repack): same link as the rom

i checked the file, it isn't corrupted (try copying it again) - can someone else confirm or deny this?

How much time i'll take? can u tell? I need too go away and want a new rom to play on.

Well in min time i use the chinese version and i don't find any significant diference between the 4.0.4 version...

The layout it's the same, really basic, i don't like on this rom it's the way that the toggles are displayed.

- So many personalisation and we can't change the battery icon, ur the toggles...

But it's the most quiker and stable rom...

Second upload installed fine but unfortunately the rom has the infamous "in call volume too high" problem, just like CM based roms.

pOcHa, im having a problem using AppMgr111(App 2 SD), when I go to copy my apps to my external SD card I get the message "Couldn't move app".

yes, i'm afraid there are still some bugs present - the camera and usb mass storage are not working... it is not yet available for download on baidu forums, except as an alpha version preview

is network data working for anybody (can't check right now)?

it's a damn shame really - it's very fast and smooth, looking forward to the release version...
