Guest Salamin Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Hi, everyone, as I explain in [irl= post, I cannot unlock the bootloader with the official method. I still want to install a custom rom, so I'm wondering which is the best way to unlock the bootloader unofficially. I want to avoid resets, is it possible? I've read that the problems are solved by relocking it, is it possible to do it? I just want to install a custom rom that works better than the stock one, nothing else. I would appreciate if you could give me a hand because I don't want to screw my phone up. Ah, I'm already rooted. Thanks in advance! Edited July 18, 2013 by Salamin
Guest kyan31 Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 There is only one way of unlocking unofficially, using the unlockbootloader.exe. You should be able to find a link for it in the stickies. Make sure your phone is booted and working before attempting to unlock.

Mate just because some people experiencing reboots or 3G issues that doesn't mean you will too. Open bootloader with unlockbootloader.exe then flash cwm and try any roms you like. If there's problem with 3G ( not available in my case) try to flash this http://www.modaco.com/topic/362434-recovering-3g-in-the-g300-of-latin-america-and-other-850-mhz-regions/ it worked for me . I never had problem with phone reboots at all . This was all with unofficially open bootloader . I would loose network signal with CM a lot then with stock roms everything's fine . Write now after unlocking officially with Huawei code I'm using 2G actually because battery lasts forever really ( well 3 days is a lot really :D ) . With relocking bootloader such as this http://www.modaco.com/topic/361327-relock-ics-bootloader-only-for-stock-ics-roms/ it didn't work for me . Phone would never boot back it would give me an error something about Signature failed bla bla..buut then again that's me . Who knows maybe you're lucky ;) . Good luck .

Thank you both, I'll try tonight, then. There's another guy from Argentina who has the same model I do and has the same problem, I'll do it unofficially then. Hope it works :)
