Calendar sync

Has anyone else had a problem with syncing their Google Calendars to the V5? I've added my Google account but Calendar isn't in the list of Google items to sync. When I open the stock calendar app, there are no calendars and no events, and nothing in the list of possible calendars to sync. I even installed Google Calendar from the Play Store but it has exactly the same problem.

I have the stock ROM and have rooted it and added CWM recovery. If anyone is aware of a fix, I'd really appreciate it.
