Guest Soffit Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Hi, First post so be gentle please As the SF is now out of warranty I fancied updating the ROM. Everything goes smoothly but it simply never reboots; just the green man until the battery drains. I've tried unbricking as suggested on here, but only step one as I have never lost the clockwork thingy. The only thing untoward is I get the following message when wiping data/factory: "No app2sd partition found. Skipping format of/sd-ext." Tried the Japanese jellyfish, Swedish Snow and CyanogenMod. All no go. Foolishly I didn't back up. So up a creek without a paddle. Help gratefully received! Edited July 31, 2013 by Soffit
Guest Soffit Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) Thanks for all your help. This was finally fixed by replacing SD card with a new one. Before this, the old card was cleaned on another phone then tried again. So, though not faulty, it just wouldn't play with the SF when it came to loading a custom ROM. Hope this is useful to someone else. Ps: this was a red herring; it appeared when the successful reboot was done .... : "No app2sd partition found. Skipping format of/sd-ext." PPs: if your a newbie get the latest obsession phone. You won't get any help otherwise. Our blade is a bit yesterday's flavour sadly.. Edited August 6, 2013 by Soffit

Try an original rom and restore the whole shebang .. she bangs and she rocks she rocks... wait.. i mean just try to restor it via the means of the original software, unless hardware is broken this phone is amazingly resilient to user error (and dev error too).
