Guest Vector Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 I spotted this on msmobiles www.msmobiles.com/news.php/307.html looks pretty nice :)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Yep, it's Neoprene, and is pretty cool! P
Guest Myke Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 are there any rubber roll up keyboards available for the spv?
Guest kmon Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 seems to undo the mobile part of wrap up rubber would be better no? kmon
Guest Bazz Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 I spotted this on msmobiles www.msmobiles.com/news.php/307.html looks pretty nice :) You are joking aren't you? It's HUGE
Guest Rob.P Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Don't care how much easier it makes the phone to use, I don't really wanna try and stuff a Spectrum ZX81 into my back pocket to use with my SPV. What's the next accessory a tape loader, so we can watch the colour bars rolling away on the screen as it loads our SMS'. I really wonder sometimes, do they have a bunch of monkeys with pencils taped to their hands for a product design team. I really hope they at least colour code the keyboard to the phone, this is a really simple design principle.
Guest madu Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 HAHAHA - WHAT A JOKE!!! You might as well buy a suitcase for your SPV. And I mean, why would you really want a keyboard for your MOBILE??? Really? I mean seriously - get urself a laptop or a PDA, this is a phone ffs. Well ok, if you have no PC at home that is usefull as you can type up emails and s***, but really, would you be using one of those on the train or bus??? Doubt it...
Guest paulend Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 I really hope they at least colour code the keyboard to the phone, this is a really simple design principle. agreed, why do they have to make the thing black! ive seen this before, they make a nice looking main product then seem to completly forget the style when making add ons! i hope this is just a prototype!!
Guest RS Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Blimey! When spectrum emulators were discussed in the software forum, I had no idea they were planning a spectrum+ add on!!! Way to go guys and gals, lets hope the graphics and sound emulation are as faithfull as the keyboard emulation
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Ha, I was just about to say that looks like a rubberised version of the Spectrum+!!! :-D I wonder if they're release a tape (Spectrum+2) or 3" disc drive add-on for the keyboard (Spectrum+3)???
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Just remember guys, cos it is neoprene it can be rolled up and stuck in your pocket. You have to admit, that's pretty kewl! :) P
Guest paulend Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 the concept is cool :) its just that the colour is cack!! ;)
Guest DJHope Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Thats great paul but im not carrying around a bloody huge cradle with me even if the keyboard bit can be rolled up :) I thought it was a joke when i first saw it is 20x bigger than the phone! DJ Hope
Guest yzbob Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 think that "cradle" is part of the display cabinet. :? is it not? :?:
Guest mattat Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 I guess it's like the ones for PDA's where you can sort of use it as a makeshift case by wrapping it around the PDA/phone - I agree - the cradle I think is part of the display so that noone steals the SPV - I think it probably just has a small wire.
Guest DJHope Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 well i hope its just for display otherwise its ridiculious! looks good if its just the keyboard tho very nice especially if its fold up :)
Guest blueadrian Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Hello Chaps I have a keyboard from 02. The plug on the top put the SPV the wrong way round ( So I was looking at the back. 4 screws and a bit of solder, 3 wires and a modeling knife. Turned the connector round and it is OK now. Drivers, failed to install. Tried a driver from another forum on this site, but it was for the roll up keyb. It worked but 1/2 the keys are 'z' the other half are the up key. :) Anyone got any serial keyboard drivers for PocketPC which will work ?? Any help would be great.
Guest Rog Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Shame I can't look at this from work, I guess the MSMobiles site has been blocked by my companies firewall (I wonder why - they must be competitors!). Slightly off topic I know, but it has really got me curious so I'll have to check it from home!
