I've had my SPV about a week, and when I got the SIM update for picture messaging, Customer Services told me to power off, remove the battery, replace and power on. Only problem is, when I pressed the catch to remove the battery it snapped off :)

Will Orange consider this to be "abuse" of the phone, or have I got a chance of getting a new battery out of them? If not, does anyone actually sell replacement batteries for this phone yet? TIA

No harm in giving them a call and seeing what they say; if you've only had it a week I would have thought they'd give you a new battery. If not Orange's website sells SPV batteries (though they're not particularly cheap!)

Orange do on their website, but it's pricey £50. Try yer luck with CS first...

Thanks for the advice - I gave CS a ring and they're sending me out a new battery tonight. I had no problems at all, which makes me suspect I'm not the first person to experience this problem.........
