Mic and Speaker Volume Issue - which Android Version/ROM?

Hey everyone,

I have already browsed the forum for quite a while but dont seem to find the ROM or Android version which definitely fixes the only two main issues I have with the phone:

-a low mic volume, I am barely hearable to the caller (disabling the second mic in the engineer settings doesnt do it)

-the volume in general while calling as well as the ringtone volume

I am currently on 2030 Baseband, B888 AtomicMod for GB by tillaz. I thought B888 would fix these issues. Maybe only only if upgraded from B886? Which version (preferably GB) fixes these things?

Or is this a hardware issue so that I would have to send in my phone?

using b895 baseband 109808 / rooted

All ICS roms fixed the volume issue. Also a gb update but unsure which one. As there's a patch now that lets you choose which baseband you need why not officially update to ICS fixing volume then go back 2 atomic. How have you ended up on a 2030 baseband ( patch or official update). If official you would no the volume is fixed.

Going back from ICS to Atomic I did and the volume issue was not fixed. Thats how I ended up on a 2030 baseband. Maybe only Atomic Mod with the 2030 baseband has these issues? Or what do you mean by your last sentence?

I am know trying Gingerbread B895, which I have only recently discovered. At least the volume issue is fixed and the first call I made through B895 the person I called said the mic quality was fine.

Sorry I thought the update fixed it as I was recently on atomic and didn't notice low sound but didn't play many games or media so probably didn't notice. Its definitely OK on cm7 and the rom works well if wanting to stay on gb. Good battery and game play . On call sound is to high for me
