Guest Zarch1972 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Are you the sort of person that sighs when you hear people talking about HTC BoomSound? Well your world is going to get worse as HTC release a speaker accessory called "BoomBass". (gotta love HTC) :) The accessory is small (64 x 64 x 64mm) cube shaped subwoofer sporting a 1200 mAH battery that is quoted as being good for 9 hours of playback. It charges via Micro USB, pairs via Bluetooth or NFC and works within 10 metres of your device. As you can see from the photos, the bottom slides out allowing you to plonk your device up against it. The device is designed to work in conjunction with your HTC One with the BoomBass providing the low tones and your One providing the highs through its own BoomSound speakers. We are being told the release date of the HTC BoomBass is sometime in October. (pricing unknown at this time) If you play a lot of music through your device this could well a nice accessory for you. Guest george109 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I like the look of it, but I hope that it is not really expensive.
Guest the juggernaut Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I like the look of it, but I hope that it is not really expensive. Lets face it it is a HTC product so it will be expensive as is the way with these things
Guest Chrisund123 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I await loads of cheap clones lol. Reminds me of the little speaker clip on thingy that you had in the Samsung D900 or whatever it was. You know, back in the day, before phones were any good...
Guest Colossae3.23 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 this interests me from the audio side. For proper bass, you need space. Phones really can't supply that. So the idea to split the audio this way, sounds (no pun intended) interesting. (this allows the BT/NFC speaker to be dedicated to bass, alone)
