SPV not charging!!!

:) My SPV no longer recognises its charger, whether it be on the docking station or via the adaptor. I have tried a different battery and nothing.... I have also tried a reset too, nothing still. I have tried a different charger too, still doesn't help. :?

Has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it? Or is my mobile condemend to mobile phone heaven?

Hmmm.... had this a few times, but turning the phone off and on a couple of times usually helped.

Sure it's not the charger? If you don't know anyone else with an SPV ou could take it to an Orange shop and ask to try their charger so see.

Positive its not the charger, I have two spvs in the office and neither charger works on this spv, but they both work on the other spv, which means it must be the phone.

Can't help then except to try a hard reset if you haven't done that already (you said you'd done a reset, but don't know if you meant soft or hard). If that don't work fling it back to Orange.

I've had this on a couple of occaisions (as has awarner) and I put it down to low battery, but if you have tried a reasonably well charged battery then I suspect it will be the 'phone. Could be where mine is headed :)

Just as a side note, could the "Beginner's" forum be renamed to "General Help/Beginners". This main forum gets a lots of these "help what do i do" type threads and it would be tidier if they were kept separate to the "genreal" discussion we normally get here.

Had this happen last night, but found that turning the phone off and plugging the charger in whilst it was off fixed the problem. Was then able to turn the phone on and everything worked fine.

As an aside, I have to agree with Mono's comments above, this forum is getting too cluttered with "How do I..." questions, making it harder to find the real meat :)
