Disable the SoftKey Backlight

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to disable the soft key backlight in Gingerbread, as it does not work in the screen filter app.

Is there a build,prop thing that I can change or is there a system tweak?

I think it's because I searched for something else, that was actually quite vague...
