A handy and - AFAIK - undocumented shortcut when deleting messages from the Inbox/Sent Items is to press [4], saves you pressing [down action] 3 times....saves quite a bit of time when there's loads of messages to be deleted - is of course valid for all the other options by using the corresponding key.
